Loosing battles can be the fault of generals, but loosing wars is far from being a soldier mistake... It is an indication to the rotten mentality which steers the war, and here exactly lies the Zionist stubbornness in overlooking the Middle Eastern realities
The sunset of zionism!
On a rock by “the dog river” in the north of Lebanon many invaders wrote their names, starting with the Egyptian Ramses the second and ending with the French general Guru in 1918. None of those said that they simply come to occupy the country for their own interest... Absolutely all of them said that they invade the country for good reason, this is always the excuse of all occupiers throughout the history, and no one says he is murderers or occupier.
The problem of those leaders lies in one thing, the thirst of power and the disconnection with life realities. The Israeli leaders are not less blind like those leaders. Ben Gorion was so arrogant that he said once that he is capable to occupy Lebanon by the Music corpse of the Israeli Army. Yet the realities on the ground were different. In its various invasions against Palestinians and Lebanese in the first invasion in 1972, to 1978,to “the bridges war” 1981,to the invasion in 1982, to the war of 1993, and the war of 1996,to the 30 days war of 2006, Israel never tried to learn the golden words said by the adviser of Ghankiz khan, that it is possible to conquer a country on the back of the horse, but ,you can not occupy it while you are on the back of the horse. General Halutz insists not to learn from this golden words: he thought that by viewing the Lebanese landscape from the planes the mission will be achieved, yet once he went to the ground the view became different, there, he found out that viewing Rome from up is different than viewing Rome from down.
Loosing battles can be the fault of generals, but loosing wars is far from being a soldier mistake... It is an indication to the rotten mentality which steers the war, and here exactly lies the Zionist stubbornness in overlooking the Middle Eastern realities. The problem of the Zionist project that they want the Middle Eastern geography yet behave as invaders of the Middle East (which they are). They do not belong to the Middle East not only because they have based the entire Zionist project on the gun power policy but also because they view themselves as (higher) culture in a primitive world. By “canceling” the people of the region on the behavior level (as in arrogance) or, by launching war after war to defeat Arabs ,Israel continues living in a fantasia world thanks to the imperial support and the Arab corruption, which made it looks real. Yet in the 30 days war with the Lebanese resistance Israel comes near the reality which it ignored for decades. That the previous victories Israel achieved against Arabs gives zero guarantee to Israel.
Therefore unless ordinary Israelis realize that Zionism is a project of death to them and to others there will be no real change in the whole conflict. This war has provided Arabs with a model that can be repeated in the future. If Israel is defeated in maroon Al Ras, it can be defeated in Nablus, and it can be defeated in Tel Aviv it self. I can say without any shred of doubt that future historians will say that the sunset of the Zionist project in Palestine and the region has been decided in the 30 days war in Lebanon.
