San Francisco - July 27: Hundreds protest Israeli assault on Lebanon, Palestine

On July 27, 2006, hundreds rallied in front of Senator Dianne Feinstein's office at Market and Montomery in San Francisco to protest her support for Israel's continuing assault on Lebanon and Palestine.

The rally, called by the Break the Seige Coalition, began with a press confernce and was followed by a march and civil disobedience in front of the SF Chronicle building to protest that newspaper's biased coverage of the conflict. Several people were arrested for blocking traffic by the San Francisco police.
